Cured Fo-Ti Cut Pieces

Fo-Ti Cut Pieces (Polygonum multiflorum), also known as He Shou Wu, are prepared root pieces with a chunky, irregular texture. Dark brown outer surfaces and lighter brown cut faces give each piece its own natural character.

Our supplier reports that this Fo-Ti root is cured by simmering in black bean sauce. The cut form offers a coarse botanical material for collections, identification, and specialist botanical preparations. Piece size, shape, and color vary naturally between batches.
